Carlo L. Batts, Principal of Rittenhouse Appraisals, proudly leads the firm with a hands-on approach to service, providing a thorough analysis of real estate assets or projects for each client.
With a degree in urban planning and real estate urban land development from Virginia Commonwealth University, Carlo has over twenty years of real estate experience, fifteen of which have been dedicated to appraisals in the commercial real estate industry. His foundation for appraising began while working with Wilmington Trust Company (now M&T Bank), which was the largest lender in the Philadelphia Federal Reserve until being acquired by M&T Bank of New York.
Carlo is a designated member of the Appraisal Institute and is actively engaged with the local chapter, currently serving as the Chapter Secretary. He is on the Board of Lambda Alpha International (LAI) Philadelphia, is a member of CREW Greater Philadelphia, and sits on the Philadelphia Home Appraisal Bias Task Force. Recent speaking engagements have included the Philadelphia Multifamily Summit where a variety of trends and issues affecting the Philadelphia housing and commercial property industry were discussed, as well as an LAI Philadelphia webinar regarding tax issues and implications surrounding the city of Philadelphia.
