Rittenhouse Appraisals is proud to announce our Managing Principal Carlo L. Batts, MAI is joining the Board of Directors of Progress Trust Inc.
This important organization is a nonprofit community redevelopment corporation. The 25-year old company’s mission is to revitalize legacy by empowering the Philadelphia community and enriching futures.
The Board appointment occurring in February during Black History Month is especially important, as PTI serves as steward for Sullivan Progress Plaza, the first shopping center in the nation developed, continuously owned, and managed by African Americans. It was founded in 1968 by the late Rev. Dr. Leon H. Sullivan, and funded by Zion Baptist Church charter members, the local Philadelphia black community, and individual investors.
