Racial bias on home appraisals in Philadelphia has a significant negative impact on homeownership and wealth accumulation for the vast majority of Philadelphia residents. Principal Appraiser Carlo L. Batts, MAI has served for the past year on the Philadelphia Appraisal Bias Task Force, contributing to delineating the problems and developing solution recommendations with the esteemed members of the Task Force.
